Refund Policy

1. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Because Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record, all refund requests are processed through Paddle. We work with Paddle to ensure refund requests are handled promptly and fairly.

2. Refund Eligibility

We want you to be fully satisfied with ChatterBuster. If you're not, the following refund policy applies:

Monthly Plans

  • You may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase.
  • Refunds for renewal charges are generally not provided, as you can cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged.

Semi-Annual Plans

  • You may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase.
  • After 14 days, refunds are provided on a pro-rata basis at our discretion for qualifying circumstances.

Lifetime Plans

  • You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
  • After 14 days, lifetime plans are non-refundable.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, you have two options:

  1. Contact Paddle directly — Use the receipt email from Paddle to initiate a refund request, or visit Paddle Support.
  2. Contact us — Email support@chatterbuster.com with your account email and reason for the refund. We will coordinate with Paddle to process your request.

Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after approval, depending on your payment method and financial institution.

4. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds may not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • The refund request is made more than 14 days after the initial purchase.
  • The account has been terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
  • The Service was used substantially during the refund period.
  • The refund request is for a renewal charge where the user was notified of the upcoming renewal and did not cancel before the billing date.

5. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your ChatterBuster dashboard (Settings → Plan Management) or by contacting Paddle support.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • You will retain access to premium features until the end of the paid period.
  • Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund. If you wish to request a refund, please follow the process in Section 3.

6. Free Trial

If your plan includes a free trial period, you will not be charged until the trial expires. You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged.

7. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us or Paddle directly for any billing disputes before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If you are a current subscriber, we will notify Paddle of any material changes to ensure compliance.
